UV light?

Im starting some indoor and am planning to pick up 400watt HPS, but its still in germination period so will UV heat lights work for it. I got a 60watt UV light for my geckos, would it be fine?..thanks a lot..

nope...i would eather get a full spec hps bulb..or go the whole way with the regular hps....people will say its not great to hps full grow but it's way better then what you are thinking of doing...

that's liiiiiike red light. vegetative growth is more suited to the 6000k spectrum i think, blue light. flo's are good for me in the veg state. if you like HID and u already have the HPS ballast and stuff, go check out a comparable Metal Halide bulb that would work with your ballast. it's HID for veggin'.

first they dont make a bulb that converts then make systems that arre convertable...also yes they are more red spec they still work fine for veg growth....if ne thing i would just get a full spectrum hps bulb....

oh, well i guess those convertible ones are mo expensive or something. i don't know that much about the versatility of light bulbs.
