vegetative stage and flowering stage

Hi,
Question regarding the plant growing stages indoor in soil with CFL's.
Can anyone tell me for how long(with approximation in days) should one stay with the plant in the vegetative stage? What would be the criteria to think of switching into flowering 12/12 stage?

not really...I have only one plant and a huge(about 165 high and on L = 1m and l=50 cm) wardrobe dedicated only for it with white interior

normally around 4 weeks for flowering you just need 2700k bulbs instead of 6500k mix them up. you can switch whenever but normally when its mature and that is when it shows pre flowers in veg

Before you switch to 12/12 there are a couple of things to consider.

Pot size if your growing in soil, make sure your plants are in the pot they are going to be in for flowering; otherwise transplant it at least a week if not two weeks before you flip the lights.

Space your growing in. Your plants are going to double if not triple in size when you flip them over to flowering. So make sure you have enough room for them.

Lighting limitations. CFL lights have to be with in a couple inches to be effective. The larger your plants are the more lights you will need around your plant to get a good yield.

If you have the place, the lighting and a big enough pot that your plants aren't going to get root bound then switch em when ever you like. It's harder to grow large plants with CFL, your better off going with more plants that are smaller and LST/topped/FIM.

you can veg out some beasts for a couple months or flip 'em to 12/12 and they'll flower as soon as they're mature. it's up to you and your time/expense/space/yield/etc.

I am now day 43 in 18/6. Today I saw some hairs on top of the tips so it's a female. It has about 40 cm in height and plenty of leaves. Usually in CFL mode for how long are you letting it before changing to 12/12 ?

only 5 weeks? that's at day 35...nice, and do you have good results? how much usually for the flowering ? I know that it depends from plant to plant, but roughly?
give or take 7-9 for indica and 9-12 sativa. you can check out reviews of your strain or seed companies which give recommendations. it can all depend on how healthy the plants are though. what strain are you growing?

I am really ashamed...I don't have any idea...I was visiting Spain and I went to a shop and when buying a nice T-shirt, they gave me a free feminized seed as bonus. I don't have high expectation regarding the plant, but I am just preparing with the growing technique for the plants to come. From the size till now...I guess is some predominant indica...indica pants are tending to be less tall compared to sativa. And mine...at day 44 it's about 45 cm tall and bushy I may say (?!)

oh yeah, def showing indica traits. short and bushy, with thick leaves. you could shoot for about 8 weeks flowering but your babies will tell you when they're ready :weed:

it's up to you. if you have everything good to go, she's ready. if you want to grow her out a little bit, no problem. you said space wasn't an issue right? after 45 days, i'd definitely be getting anxious
