venelation for grow box

I seen a post on here that you could use a computer fan and attach a carbon filter to it to eliminate the smell of a small grow box.. my question was how do you connect a computer fan to a regular wall socet wire? i tryed and i either messed up the wiers or somthin and it sparked and now that one dont work

You MUST have a 12 volt DC power supply. The most simple way would be to find a transformer ..which is the wall wort chargers for things like cell phone chargers, cordless phone etc etc etc. just find one that says its output is 12volts DC. It MUST be DC or it won't work. household electricity is 110/120 volt AC. Cut the little barrel end off of the cord and separate the 2 wires, connect those to the fan. if fan doesn't turn the right way reverse the wires.

You really should not mess with household electricity unless you are qualified, obviously you are not.
