Ventilation Ideas 4 My Closet

I have a 9x3 foot closet that's 8 feet high but is under a stair well so it slopes down to 3'4". It has a door. I haven't bought lights yet but am probably going to get a 600 watt hps. I'm wondering how I should go about ventilating it. I can't cut holes in the wall or the door. I'm thinking of creating an inner door with a tarp or something so it's sealed off from the room and then exhausting out of a hole in the tarp. That way I can just shut the door when people are over and nobody will be the wiser. Any ideas or advice?

whats below the floor in there? if you have a basement or something maybe you can make a hole for a vent tube to go through?

I would say you could build or buy a big cabinet/ wardrobe style thing and have it fit inside the closet. Then you could cut that up as much as you wanted and just vent out into the closet, leaving it open as much as possible. That's similar to what you had suggested already i guess. A big wardrobe is nice, especially if it has a section with drawers on the bottom, cause that way you can make the bottom section a CFL veg cabinet and main top part an HPS flowering chamber for a few small plants. There's lots of ways you could go, but this is one line of thinking. Good luck, let us know what you come up with!

Wilsong, I would rethink this idea. I suspect that this closet is near the front door and the living room in your home. While the new gear is quiet it is not silent and you will have several things going at once up to 18 hrs per day. If you box off part of it, the small part that is left over is going to heat up and then reintroduce that hot air back into the box. That 600W is going to generate a great deal of heat that is going to turn into a problem, T5's maybe? The last one is odor control and it's not going to be easy in that tight space and if guests and business callers are going to be at the front door that's not good. You know the situation better than I do but, I would look for another plan. It's just an opinion, take it for what it's worth.
