For my 6x2.5x1.5 grow space 6 being height :D
I went with this vent because noise is a problem and this fan is rated at 19db with a 110cfm airflow because the fan is bigger and it actually does less RPM which makes less noise but moves same amout of air as if a 2x smaller fan with same cfm would be 2x or even more louder which is a huge problem to me, so my main question is about the passive intake, i know that basicly the passive intake hole should be 2x the size of the exhaust, but the big fan i went with is 20cm x 20 cm thats about 8 inches? anyways if i cut a 40cm x 40cm hole and a 20cm x 20cm hole in my wardrobe
i`ll basicly strip almost the entire back side of it lol what would happen if my passive intake is the same size as the exhaust? im stoned sorry :D

lol your fan type with low RPM is probably ok to have just 20x20hole. i dont have real holes for intake, jusy cracks all around the bottom of my box

And i have a extra question for you guys:
The carbon filter i`ll make will be with activated carbon from the pet store yes? Also can i make a "blanket" carbon filter and put it on the fan or do i have to make a actual filter because making 20cm x 20cm carbon filter will be big or i can make a smaller filter and tape it to the big vent? What would be better also for the passive intake do i need some kind of filtering or due to negative pressure there will be no smell leak from the passive intake yes no?

filter is better put with a fan pulling through it. usually put just before the exhaust fan to filter exiting air and not the entering air. dont do it smaller than fan, on the contrary it should be bigger surface area so that you lose minimum cfm. you worry that with big passive intake will leak smells through, then you can try place a simple airfilter over it, if it still leaks you can make hole smaller till it stops leaking, and if your very worried maybe place intake fan on the hole

Sorry, I saw this the other day and was going to answer after I had a shit and forgot.

You want to have unrestricted space after a fan for some reason, can't remember why, but I remember reading it, something to do with it greatly reducing the fans power if it's blocked in anyway within so inches/feet or what ever. But if you have no place to put the charcoal filter before the fan sometimes that's what you got to do. If that's what you got to do give yourself some space.

I have DIY charcoal filters and phat philters, they both work fine and I used the pet store shit for the DIY.

Smell shouldn't escape if your flow is setup right.

By the way I Zem I remembered now that you came to the new PG a while back. lol, everybody thought you were one of my handles, which is odd because I don'T make extra handles, but there was a lot of confusion over that. If they gave you any shit it's because they thought you were me.

Yeah man. I quit that place. Only site I've ever quit. Been banned all over the fucking place, but the only site I've quit. From grower to grower - one of the staff isn't right and you're not 100% safe there. nuff said.

Everybody misses the old PG, it had a vibe that was pretty cool. RIU is prolly the closest I've found, just got here (testing the limits) lol.

yeah well RIU is cool but for a newb he could get pretty crappy advice in here, and the baad advice will be confirmed on and on by a flood of retards lmao
