Greetings!

Over the next 5 months I'll be taking pictures/videos of everything that I do in my garden, so you can grow along from the start or quickly find the day of veg or flower that you're at and hopefully get the tips you need.

.

The first step in growing cannabis is to pick the seeds that you want to grow, Roll It Up has excellent genetic reviews in the Seed and Strain section. Once you determine the spectrum of effects and terpene profile you want to try look into other important factors such as height and length of flower.

I've been lucky to have grown 6 of Serious Seeds strains in the past and I know their genetics are going to be great. Once you find a great breeder stick with them for a lot of your grows.

This grow I'll be germinating Serious Happiness and Serious Old Skool, which are going to be interesting because each have the same parents, Warlock and AK47, just in Serious happiness the Warlock is the father and the AK47 is the mother and opposite for Serious Old Skool. I've grown Serious Happiness before, with great results, and I'm interested in how the two strains differ. I was going to grow Bubblegum with Serious Old Skool but my curiosity got the better of me.

The next two strains are Seriotica and Strawberry AK.

Like me, Simon of Serious Seeds has always said that Kali Mist is his favorite smoke, but now Seriotica has taken that number one space for him. With Mimosa and Cookies as the parents it's gotta be tasty.

"Frosted heads covered in trichomes with an intense strawberry aroma and a powerful effect, this was our breeding goal for this unique strawberry weed. "

Stay tuned for a rough germination video posting later today.

Germination.

When I say a ROUGH video I mean rough. This was the first video that I took and I learned a lot from this exercise. The video is dark but you'll get a better view if you enbiggen the video to full screen.

In this video I'm germinating using the paper towel method - fold a paper towel 3 times, wet it, put the seed in, put the paper towel in a zip lock freezer bag with two zip locks. Put the bag somewhere warm, I use a heating pad with a thermometer set to 80F (a must or you'll boil your seeds).

The seeds are usually split with a sprout growing within 2 days but I leave them for 3 to be sure that I have all 4 seeds germinated.

PLANT

This planting video came out a lot better than the first one on germinating: I'm not standing between the light and the work table and I'm using a tripod instead of a head set.

As I check each germination pack I see that all seeds have sprouted and I move them over to the brown Rapid Rooters. Snip the Rapid Rooters (RR) with a pair of scissors, open it like a book and place the sprout in the RR close it like a book and plant in a 16 ounce cup. Be sure to punch holes in the bottom of the cups, on the first real watering we'll water/feed the plants to run off. I like Pro Mix HP as a medium.

First Feeding

Day 3 of veg

Finally some decent lighting! I've got my Diablo set to 2 and it's plenty bright for videos.

The seedlings are coming along great, only one has a bent stem and that'll be OK. Either the stem will straighten on it's own or it'll have a little crink in it.
