Was wondering whether to ditch the tent and convert a bedroom?!

Hi RIU,

I am in a dilemma, I have a spare room and I don't know whether to put my 1.2x1.2x2m tent in there or convert the room.

It is on the top floor, but it is not very big. It is approximately 2m square but 1.5m into in the roof is slanted. I know I can fit my tent in there, but with the roof as it is and my grand plans to have a vegging area and a flowering area, I think I should construct something.

I have seen a video on youtube on constructing a grow room and it is certainly feasible.

I would use the side with lower height for vegging.

I am worried about heat signals though, especially with the cold days upcoming and the typical unpredictable weather.

Any and all feedback is appreciated. :)

Another option is to get a smaller tent, say 1.2x0.6x1.5 but then I would have to fork out for that and be running duplicate fans and stuff, right?

I run a veg and flower area in a single 5' x 8' closet. I have my tent for flower with carbon filter and inline fan, and the veg area just has air cooled reflector with cheapy duct booster fan since there is not carbon filter. We have the same size tent but it looks like your room is slightly smaller than mine.

Go one room style lots of planrd lots of growth and once you get it right as soon as you begin to flower start new seedlings and thats 2 months of veg in your tent aand then put in room for flower but keep it all in one room its works awesome once you have your schedule set up

If you can use a saw and a screwdriver then make the room what you want it to be rather than tryin to squeeze tents in and make do. A bit of 2x3 timber and a few sheets of plasterboard is only a few £ compared with the cost of tents and it's not that difficult.

i would just veg plants at different stages and that way your not overcrowding your flowering tent. harvesting a plant like every 3 or 4 weeks. also you can just make a curtain with panda plastic if you wanted to divide the areas up.

^^^^ yeah, like the post above, but also just thinking out loud (and could be wrong)...but wouldn't you have more versatility with a couple of smaller tents inside the room? (one for veg/clones and one for flower) ... again, just passing by
