Hey,
I have plants about 7-8 weeks into vegetative and I have them in 5 gal buckets...I water them about 700-800mL and there isn't any drainage, but it seems like htat would be enough...Any suggestions?

At our nursery we water everything until a third as much water runs out as we gave the tree/bush and I do the same with my ‘herb’ plants and it works very well for me. That way you know that all the soil has had a chance to soak up moisture.

i like to keep my plants on the drier side... actually i rarely have runoff or just a bit... right now im in 2 gallon bags (ocean forest) and water each with about a cup of water/ day... sometimes more, sometimes less... i like to gather a feel for the water uptake (different at different stages of the plants cycle) and be careful not to let them wilt (dry out)... if adding water for the slower ones to catch up i never use nutes... only feed every other "main" watering... a good rule of thumb (for me, anyway) is ill weigh out mentally the weight of a dry plant to one with about a cup and a half of water and find a balance in between... this promotes root growth as the roots swell seaching for water

of course for larger pots i would use more water... for 3.5 gallon pots i use about 2 cups of water... oh yeah.. the plants mentioned above are only 30-40 inches tall... kush so not heavy drinkers like sativas...
