Water vs. Nutes = PH?

Hey all, growing inside for the first time.

Checked my water, and it is VERY alkaline, measures around 7.6.

Using FF nutes, which I know makes things more acidic.

SO.....my question is, should I use rainwater, which is normally slightly acidic, and taking the risk the nutes makes it TOO acidic.

Or, go with the alkaline tap water, and hope the nutes equalizes things closer down to neutral?

Hmmm......

I recommend aerating your water mix at least 24 hours before using (air stone). It promotes healthy root development with the high concentration of dissolved oxygen, and will also help stabilize your ph. Don't ph adjust your plain water (regardless the source) as you will see that adding your nutrients will have a material affect on the ph. You want the end product stable and ph adjusted, not necessarily the source.
