watering/feeding help

i have six clones that have rooted and are now in 6 litre pots a friend says i should split 2 litres of plain water a day between them for 2 days and on the 3 day give them 2 litres with food and nutes added will this be ok if not what would you greenthumbs out there suggest

u shouldnt have to water that oftern. should really be every 3 days ish. what are ur temps?

edit: and id suggest not giving nutes until they look healthy enough to sustain them.

Go to your local nursery and buy a Moisture Meter. They cost around ten dollars. Water when the moisture meter is indicating on the dry side. This takes all the guess-work out of your watering schedule. Here's a picture of what you're looking for:
