Hey i have 18 plants under a light just a normal household light. I am switching it to a 400 watt HPS today but some of my plants are wilting and getting weak. I am just wondering if I am over watering or underwatering? Some of the plants are doing great so I dont think its the light but I'd appreciate any help
If your household light is an incandescent bulb, then that is definitely not a good light to use.
Since you are in a veg state use a metal halide instead of HPS, which is for the flowering stage.
As far as watering wait until the soil is dry and the container feels very light. With some practice you will learn when the plants need water.
If you can take some pics it can help alot more
