I've heard you should let it go through dry and moist cycles, also i've heard to keep it moist but not muddy, what should i do? wait till it gets almost bone dry then water? or keep it at a moderate moisture?

I was told the same wtfsdix, let the soil get crust dry before watering again. My plant will be one week old on Saturday. When I planted him i gave it one initial watering, on Monday I removed him from the dome and Monday - Tuesday i kept the leafs moist to help with the humidity transition, and have no watered since. The soil is still moist, I've waited and waited for it to dry out so I can water it again, but the soil is still moist. one of the cotyledon is starting to droop a bit and curl, I think it may be a lack of water, but who knows. Should I just go ahead and water it again since its been like 5 days since its first watering?

What kind of soil are you using that it's taking 5 days to dry? I have FFOF and it's been 36 hours since water, I expect it to be completely dry in about another 18 hours.

You can always add water. If you think it needs water, then give it some. You don't have to flood it, especially if its a new plant. A couple drops of water on a seedling will go along ways. Some of my signs of overwatering will be a dead plant and fungus gnats flying around, then you know you kept it too wet too long.

@Mike91sr: The soil is a good soil, but I don't know the brand. My dad keeps them in totes to keep it fresh. It has those white styrofoam balls that help prevent overwatering.
@GigdgetGrows: I think I will just water it a bit, but like I said this soil just wont dry. It doesn't get a little dryer, not nothing.. Completely moist 24/7. Its funny you say something about gnats, when I go in my room I see a few flying around and clap them to get rid of them. This is funugs signs?
