Anyway....
My last grow was assimilated and pretty much went to shit. ( They did not bother my Cali Mists for some reason...plants on all sides were getting hammered ..my kushs..grape apes etc..but not the Cali's ..weird huh ? The Calis must have some kind of cloaking device)
Never had them before in over 2 years of growing....then I brought home a clone from a dispensary and everything went to hell. ( The dispensary knew it was infected ! Bastards ! )
With tons of expensive organic sprays I made it through to harvest...throwing over half of it away..( Just to be safe )
I'm not growing this summer..too frigging hot ! But I do have some small plants I popped from seeds. Keep them vegging all summer. ( Just a few CFLs...my 1000 watt HPS / MH is offline till fall )
But guess what.?..after tearing down my tent...throwing all dirt , buckets etc away...sterilizing light hoods, in line fan housing, warp plasma conduits etc..steam cleaning carpets...cleaning and repainting walls..guess who trans-warped back into my quadrant ?
I'm not big on chemical warfare...but enough is enough. So after altering a large cardboard box..I put the plants in and dropped a photon torpedo in ( Hotshot Power Strip ) I've had this Hotshot for a long time but was too paranoid to use it..even on my last assimilated grow.
Taking said box outside and placing it on the deck....6 hours later the Borg are dead. ( checking leaves I noticed I had Thrips too...the Ferengi of pot growing )
Removed all infected leaves...hosed them down with Neem. Having pro cleaners come in and re do the room.
I will not be setting up my tent again until the fall...the plants grown from seed were merely started to see if the seeds were viable...8 out of 8 is pretty good...and I have over 50 more seeds. ( Everything but the light will be new when I resume my 5 year mission to explore strange new weeds, seek out new strains and get more baked then anyone has done before.. so new plastic,soil, buckets, Mylar, ducting etc )
So for the rest of the summer I will be experimenting with other organic remedies ...such as growing Rosemary and Geraniums with the plants etc. ( besides the regular Neem phaser attacks )...trying predators ( Lady bugs suck )
If necessary I will continue with periodic photon torpedo attacks ( Hotshot ) I really don't like chems though.
And see what happens...if they die or I can't deal with them anymore and toss them..no biggie ! Got plenty more seeds and clones are cheap here.. I got enough head stash for several more months.
Hopefully a professional cleaning ( They are going to heat the room itself to like 130 degrees...) Along with a carpet re-treatment I'm hoping the room will be sterile enough to where I never see those nasty Borg again. ( This will be done just before I build a new grow tent this fall )
And this time...nobody goes into the grow tent but me..
I really hate the Borg....
And yes I'm a big Trek fan..
