Happy New Year, and welcome to my first attempt at indoor growing.
I decided to start the new year with a journal of my first grow. I'm using a SuperCloset Deluxe. I'm not connected with them in any way. I'm not here to hype them. I know that some of you will say that the Supercloset is a waste of money. You're entitled to your opinion. I'm not sure yet, myself. I'm going to find out. I do know that others here have used turnkey indoor growing solutions with acceptable results. Results is all I'm after. If you're going to say that I've wasted my money, although you're entitled to your opinion, save your time. The money I spent on my cab, which is what I'm gonna call it from now on, unless the guys at SC wanna pony up some cash for advertising, bought me a head start. I didn't want to piece a system together by trial and error. I paid for an advanced starting spot on the learning curve. If I get that, I'm satisfied.

Thanks for visiting, Your comments are welcome.

hey solo...well put. it only matters what matters to you....a notch up the curve is your choice. I made a similar choice with the BloomBox, and certainly could have saved $$ but I wanted the results that you also seek. So far.....I am very comfortable with my decision. all the best of karma sent your way with this your indoor grow! walk on man!

I decided to get my seed first. I figured that I wouldn't need any lights, nutes, or anything else unless I had seeds. I went to Greenman's Seedbank Update Page: Green man's Seedbank Update I settled on a retailer and a strain, paid my money and took my chances.

I ordered 10 Flo and 10 F13. A couple of weeks later I had my seeds! While I was waiting I did lots of research. Books, magazines, videos, trips to growshops. I love to learn, don't you? I decided to buy a prefab system. Outsourcing seemed the easiest way to go. Seeds in hand I ordered my cab.

The cab arrived. I had to send it back. The cabinet company decided not to include the liftgate fee in my delivered price. Who Knew? Five days later and $201.00 lighter due to redelivery and liftgate fees, I got my cab. This time it stayed with me.

It went together easily, and in no time I was germing my seeds. I employed the Paper Towel method. Out of four seeds, three cracked. After a week I gave up on the fourth seed. I figured that 3 out of 4 wasn't bad.

I put them in soaked 1 inch rockwool cubes. When the cotyledons showed I put them under a couple of t12 Agrosun 24inch florescent tubes. They grew nicely.

I started on November 20th and by New Year's Eve, I decided to put them under the 600w HPS. They had their sixth nodes and the leaves were all showing five lobes. I have heard that Flo is a not a heavy eater, so I gradually worked them up to 1/8 strength FloraNova nutes, having started them with Ph Corrected R/O water with a drop per gallon of SuperThrive.

That'll bring you up to date with my grow. I'll get pics up ASAP. As always, you, your comments, questions, and constructive criticism are welcome. Thanks for visiting!

On my plants' third day in the ebb and flow container under the HPS I noticed some yellowing of the lower leaves. I know from my reading that the first thing to do is make sure your Ph is correct. I took a sample from the reservior, and found that the Ph was somewhere around 7.6 It started at 5.6

I flushed the plants in the rockwool with lots of 5.5 Ph water. Then I corrected the Ph of the mix in the reservior to 5.6 also. Tonight, one day later, I took a sample from the reservoir and the Ph was 6.8 Any suggestions?

I'm using FloraNova at 1/6 strength. My plan is to flush the plants again, and re-adjust the Ph of the fluid in the reservior. What can I do to stablize the Ph?
