Web Design - suggest a program?

hi,

trying to get a couple of website ideas going.

i am currently using macromedia dreamweaver. which is actually pretty good.

but is anyone aware of better programs? i'm not that good at this yet, though i am quite computer literate. well i used to be, still catching up.

so, any ideas?

Dreamweaver is a sweet program, check out macromedia flash and fireworks cs3, also Microsoft front page

Your best bet is to work with Dreamweaver, but the most important thing is to copy and paste your code from DW BEFORE saving or exporting it as HTML -- that is when the program can mess up your html, esp calls to style sheets etc.

VERY FRUSTRATING when this happens.

Buy some books and mess about on your own, that's the best way -- "Bullet Proof Web Design" is a great resource

i've been working with dreamweaver since i was 14...its never fucked my CSS up... you musta done something wrong bro... dw's the best out there...it burries frontpage:weed:

Speaking of books, there is a pretty old one called "Stupid web tricks" It's a pretty good read adn taught me a lot back in the day. I still have that book after probably 9 years.
