Friend in Calgary smoked herb for the first time last night. Said it was pretty awesome. Said he understands why all the bars are closing around him since it has been legalized. Spoke to one bar tender and business is down big time, a lot of bars have closed. Also said he felt fine today....(no hangover). This is not news to any of us but just an anecdote about anti's giving it a go after legalization.

I love me a couple beers!! And a couple nugs! Lol, it is amazing when you get someone who was so against it to smoke or eat and they love it now that it’s legal.

I don't see weed as a replacement for booze - I indulged in both for 40 years. When I quit drinking, the pot use stayed about the same. I think it made it easier to quit drinking because I was busy getting high, but the body still wanted the booze. I also haven't met anyone who has started smoking cannabis because it's legal - it has been ingrained in the culture and virtually legal for so long here that everyone who wanted to try it, has.

Well at least no DUI’s ..or worst... that alcohol can make u mean as hell... while the bud slows u down and u fill so chill...occasionally I like a good joint and a couple of brews... summertime when it’s a bit warm.. hella buzz

When I started smoking I quit drinking... every now and then I may take a sip but a good weed buzz to me just doesn’t compare to a drinking buzz... and if mixed together wrong ... will give you a bad night... if I’m drinking and take a hit of some good shit... it’s over... calling earl.. however if I smoked all day then drank ...I’m good

I haven't met anyone yet who never smoked before legalization and took it up after. Everyone that I know that smoked before is smoking it like they did before nothing changed. I'm sure there are people who took it up but I bet 99% of those wont be daily smokers just casual weekend use.

I'm guessing in the US was different as you had a good chance of getting years in jail for even small possession/use so it was like a kid let loose in a candy store.

it's like..................That's what "they did" and most kids view getting high differently ....... I know my daughter has tried it but my 18 year old Son?,,it's just not for him. He's a sporty kid.......the kind that doesn't get high (:
