I have short stubby roots. Theyre thick, but the end of the plant loots almost like a porcupine. They look healthy, but theyre just not real long. Is this a problem? If so, how can I correct it? I have a picture, but cant figure out how to post it with windows 8. Damnit. I can email it to someone if theyre interested. Thanks. Dane.

are you refering to the roots you can see at the base of the plant by the medium line? if so i have had this happen too. the real loots are in the soil and are fine white roots, what happens is roots develop off the main stem and then that part of the stem becomes unearthed causing the root to dry up and become hard like stem material.

not sure if this is what your talking about or not.
