wet trim

Hello all,
My first outdoor grow and I have successfully grown a Jack Herer and Durban Poison.
It is harvest time and I cannot find anywhere how to deal with the fan and sugar leaves I trimmed off by plants.
Do these leaves need to be dried before trying to collect the kief or decarb in oven.
I looked online about wet trim and all they say is how to perform this task, and when.
Just want some insight about how to deal with the wet trim.
Right now my buds are hanging upside down and the leaves I put inside one of those mesh drying racks.
Don't want to waste anything so would like some input from you all.

Fuck the leaves. Those are just the light/solar collectors that contain very little psychoactive stuff. The sugar leaves will have some trichomes on them, save those if you wanna make hash or a skin balm.

If you don't see trics on them throw them out. I personally like to dry all plant material except when making bubble hash in which case I freeze it.
