What can I do to help the little guy?

In the next building over there is a 5 month old sheppard who's parents neglect the fuck out of. He's outside all night, and when I leave for work in the morning as well as when I get home in the evening. His owners are the type of folks who clearly got a dog because it's trendy, and not because they wanted a companion. Hell In the month they've lived there I've seen him go on one walk, and that was to the end of a 90 foot driveway. Everyone in my building is pretty pissed not only with his treatment but his constant barking from being left outside on the balcony. What can I do to help this little guy?

my neighbor (who i suspect sells narcotics) has a beautiful german shepherd that stays on a 15 chain tied to a tree. he chains his dogs up because his fence sucks ass and theyll just jump it or go under it. i feel bad for her, shes a sweet dog. i throw her handfuls of treats occasionally and it makes me feel a little better.

You're a fucking moron man... Nazi dogs? GS's were around FAR before the Nazi's. Instead of whining like a little kid about the dog, how about you take it up with the owner and tell him to treat his animal right? From all your posts that I've seen in the last few days, you're really turning out to be the village idiot.

the owner is a racist who set the nazi cops on me last time i asked her to stop hooting thru the night.

the owner is a nazi, and most of the people listed here who own adolph dogs seem to fit the personality i am describing. like narcs for instance. the guys who want to bust your ass. 90% of the narc dogs i have met are alsations. coincidence? maybe. maybe not.

thanks for calling me names 'flyboy', but i wish you well, and hope you live a life of blue skies and happy dreams.

if you want to disagree with what i say please be civil and quote 'in quotes' what i have said that you disagree with, (not what u think i have said bcos i remind u of someone else)

then i can respond and we can reach agreement. perhaps you may prove me wrong, and then i will thank you. after all, i am an ignorant third worlder, and you are an educated fine fellow of America.

plz humble yourself and teach me your wisdom. I am willing to learn at your wingtip, that is if i am not too much of an idiot for your genius intellect. Sir.

dogs are only a product of their environment.
dogs are not ONLY thus. certain breeds of dogs have vary differing intellect and temprement.

some dogs just love killing other dogs. like staffies. some dogs love the sea, others hate it.

border collies are much more intelligent than any other dog by a million miles, they always win the shephard competitions.

Alsations make the most effective guard dogs bcos they have an agressive temprement.

Of course they are also mouldered by their envirnoment, like people, but to say 'ONLY' is to completely misunderstand the relationship between , mind and environment and the physical attributes of genetics.

I was brought up to hate blacks, but instead i hate NAZIs. THe environment of my upbringing moulded most of the rest into racists, and quite a few into downright nazis too. Yet nothing makes my blood boil more than racism. y?

u can b the product of your environment if you wish,
i am the product of my own imagination and willpower,
at least to a significant extent.

I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt, but it's clear you are an idiot. Do you see my Avatar. That's moose. He's an APBT which is a direct relative of the Staffie. While they were initially bred for fighting, they are in no way shape or form fighting dogs. If you train them with love and affection they will not be violent or confrontational. They are nothing more than big lap dogs. I'm sorry but you've lost all credibility. And if you were wondering staffies and other bully breeds have the 4th highest temperament of any dog. Much better than collies or labs. Fact is you're a pseudo intellect who knows nothing about nothing. Keep perpetuating your stereotypes somewhere else, and when I said Shepperd you do know there are different types other than the german variety right? Fucking inbred prick.

A lady friend of mine has an Pit named Chance... that dog lets cats play with it all day and is so damn loving. If only everyone could see what a real Pit was like instead of only what they hear on the news and TV's when someone comes in contact with a Pit that was raised horribly...

Ah, found a pic of him!

He kinda looks like my moosie. They're beautiful dogs, they'll do anything to please their owners which is the downfall with the breed. If you're a good dog owner who treats them with love and respect they're the best companion you'll ever have. Moose knows the difference between children and adults, able bodied and disabled. They're very intelligent beautiful dogs.

well u folks are better at training dogs than most people,
still,
alsations are more closely related to wolves than any other dog,
and its wrong to call it shephard, it has no shephard atributes
its a hunting and protecting dog, and its temprement often
attracts people who like the prospect of a wolf protecting them.

and my friend had a staffie, it was really friendly, you could leave a new born baby
with it, very social animal, no sarcasm.

But in the vicinity of another male dog it became a vicious monster. now that dog was quite different to the one in that photo. the smaller staffies with the soft fur are much friendlier. the one i'm talking about has a much bigger head. and really, a lovely dog, but it maimed any male dog it came across. its owner was reduced to tears many times by this, an honest humble rasta guy.

That's because he wasn't socialized aroung male dogs. My inlaws have a pitbull as well, and when he and moose get together they play. It gets rough, but there is no violence towards one another.

I read the whole thread but I think I'll stick to this original post. I wouldn't be so quick to call the humane society. If the dog is fed and watered and not living in feces it will be hard to prove it's neglected. As far as walking the dog.... it's going to be your word against theirs. They could easily say they exercise the dog during the hours you are at work.

I have an idea... if I'm not mistaken I think I remember you posting in another thread that you had a fenced "dog area" for them to run and play right? If so.... knock on their door and tell the neighbor you noticed they had 1 dog and you have 1 dog and you thought maybe they'd like to play together in the fenced area. You could offer to take their dog down and back for the lazy fucks too ;)

It may sound silly.... but it's really not if both dogs are friendly. Jack gets bored playing by himself and when I'm working I can't stand out there all day and throw his ball for him so I put a gate in my back fence so the neighbors behind me (who don't have a fenced yard) could let their dog in my backyard to play with Jack. They'd run and play for hours... until they dropped from exhaustion.

Anyway... just a thought. :D
