What "Caused" My Soil To Smell Like Sewage?

I'm using a commercial soil and I noticed that it smelled like sewage but kind of ignored it, until my plants became stunted. I did not reveal the name of the soil because that's the first diagnose that people use. Oh that's not a good soil to use and all that. So if you've had this happen, what caused it? Thanks in advance.

My organic soil stinks pretty bad but not like raw sewage. Seriously you have a smell like raw sewage? Have you checked your septic tank? Because sometimes we have to treat just one sink due to smell.

All I know is when I opened the soil it was fresh smelling. Then time later the sewage mud smell. I'm not sure if it was the tap water conflicting with the nutes I used or if it was the soil. So now my brow is raised on my local g.s.. On the tap water. And on the nutes. Like which one is the corporate?!...

maybe thats why people say its not a good soil to use

You have to flush it if it smells like poop.
