What colour light for flowering

Hi.:-| I'm about to start flowering, I've done the grow with 300w dual spectrum cfl. Now do I have to switch to red cfl or yellow cfl or just plain warm light. OR can I continue, I mean reducing them to 12/12 lighting should do the trick. The LRG lamp says 2700k & 6400k.
Pls advise.

Hi! I use a combination of warm white and cool white T5 tubes. Thats 3000K and 4000K color temp. and have no complaints.

I think all warm white fluorescent light would be just fine for flowering. Cheers.

yes a mix of both work great

as a rule of thump the plant use more red light doing flowering and more blue in Veg, so to speak, but it will use all colors all grow

the higher the Kelvin colors the more the spectrum peak in the blue and the lower the more red/yellow (something to do with the mercury and stuff that is inside the bulb)

a nice mix of 2-1 6500K/2700K or 5000K/2700K will do good in Veg, I would do it vise versa in flowering, 1-2 6500K/2700K

if I had to choose only one Kelvin for all my grow I would choose 2700K or 3000K as a MJ plant in Veg only need 1/3 of the light as a flowering plant to thrive, and in flowering the red spectrum play a big role in the Bud production, the 2700K have enough blue in em to handle Veg ok the 6500K will struggle to grow dense Bud`s

5000K is eaqual to sun light or what come closest
