What do y’all think about amended peat substrate?

I’m trying to make a cheaper soil with what I have on hand. I have a big bale of peat moss that sat outside for a year, I put it in a bin to air it out and it looks ever so slightly decayed in some places but I just ripped it out it was on the bottom. I have about 80 gallons worth of good peat moss to work with.

I figured I would add EWC to it for nutrition, a lot of perlite and some vermiculite. Also some dolomitic lime (I’ll be crushing the rocks up into powder) to help with acidity of peat. I’m missing gypsum but I figure the EWC and maybe some epsom salt in the water feedings will work.

I got tired of paying for FFoF and the like and am wondering if I can also just amend some topsoil I have laying around it contains some clay though.

Any problems anyone sees off the bat? I would likely try and feed it with 1/4 strength nutes to start when they flower as I would be transplanting into the peat from FFoF and they would be around 30 days old. Thanks.
