WHAT???? Is it possible??

My friend told me today that he is going to grow a plant start to finish in Miracle grow potting soil feeds up to 6 months not using any nutes at all. Does anyone think it is even possible to do so????

sure it's possible.. is it recommended on the other hand, that's a completely different story..

look into home made soil where people add all of the needed ingredients to their soil mix and let it cook for x amount of days before using... after that point to harvest it's mostly water only as all the good stuff is already in the soil..
mg works on the same principal.. they add nutes to the soil base that are time released, and are supposed to be slowly released over a 6 month period of time.. whether or not it's going to have the correct ratios of nutrients being released at the correct time for proper cannabis growth is debatable though imvho..

Why wouldn't it be possible? It won't reach it's full potential but it will grow just fine. I grew my first plant in native clay soil. It was a pathetic looking plant that produced pathetic little buds, MG is just fine if that's all you have.

I hear ya, I told him to not over water because of the time release nutes, I said we can have a compare smoke up in 2-3 months. I have seen some really nice stuff grown in that same soil and they always say just dont over water. It was the best advice I could give seeing that I am new to growing myself

i use it, as crazy as it sounds I take the nute balls out, now I know I cant get all of them but I use the MG moisture control for my young plants and use a misting bottle when I am applying the dirt in the pot I first spread the soil out on a large poster size piece of paper and I spread out the dirt most bigger nute balls roll dowd.....then i get what I can out and then handful after handful double checking, now a lot of people would say why that's a waste of time, well im limted and also it WORKS now im not telling anyone to do it but I am giving my input, I must add when plants are flowering (the last transplant) lately I have been making my own mix but I have had several plants come out of MG MC and smoke just fine!
