What is this PPM im always reading about?

PPM Obviously stands for parts per million, im just wondering what the chemical is that people are talking about for the PPM and how is it measured? is it the Ph measurement in the water? I know you want ph around 6.5 -7.0. is that 6.5 -7.0 ppm?

No its amount of minerals and such in the water.Think of it like making choclate milk highh ppm woul be like adding alot of choclate coco mix to the milk.

Bleh im so confused, is it ok if i just worry about the PH of my water and make sure i filter it and let it sit out for a day or so to let the chlorine evaporate? lol

No u will end up with nute burn.Are you asking how to check P.P.M?If so there are meters out there.
