What max PPM do you run in your system??

I'm curious about what PPMs you all run in your systems? I have an RDWC system and I typically go as high as 1300 ppms during peak flowering. I use Botanicare nutrients

I just re-read that popular thread about "Harvest a pound every three week" https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/116859-harvest-pound-every-three-weeks.html and the guy says he puts his clones in veg for about a week, then dumps them right into 2000 ppm nutrient solution in his aeroponic/nft system.

I find this very hard to believe. I'm not calling him a liar, but it seems like I see signs of over-nuting and leaf tip yellowing and burning if I get much higher than 1400 ppms. I can't see how his clones don't get instantly fried at those levels. He even says he runs some strains as high as 3000 ppm!!!

Here's my setup FYI: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-room-design-setup/211660-1000-watt-rdwc-setup.html

I start off at like 250-300 and work my way up to 13-1400 before backing down as I close in on the harvest. I have not had any luck going over 1400ppm

Ya I generally stay around a 1000ppm during full strength feeding. Shrug, Ive not had any luck over 1200 or so.

make sure that you understand the "stinkbud" system, it is hybrid Aero/NFT, and you are running DWC - if I'm correct?
So the nutes will get absorbed different.

I am running my Aero/NFT (veg/flower) between 1600-1900 ppm, botanicare, pending on strain, and they're eating it up. Did get some tip burning early on, so "just add water..."

But while I 'm at it - anyone use Canna?
I'm thinking about switching, it seems to run much cleaner, and they recommend 900 ppm, so go figure....

I am running a modified version of the stinkbud system. I built bigger versions of the veg unit and use them to flower. By the way, when the cuttings come out of the cloner, they go into about 1400 ppm. They are increased to 2000 during the 3 week, not one week, flowering period. I usually have them out of there and into flowering in about two weeks though.
In one of my flower units, I wasnt paying attention and the plants came out of the veg unit straight into 3000 ppm nutes. They were like that for two weeks before I bothered to check. They were exploding, so I am keeping it that way. They have gone from 10 inches to over forty inches in three weeks and are showing lots of baby buds. Two plants have taken over an eleven sight unit. Cant wait to see how much they yield. Check the link in my signature. I will be adding new pics later today when my babies wake up.

With true aero, where you get the majority of solution off the roots between misting you can have high ppm's (+2000ppm) but if your roots are in constant contact with nutes you should stay 1000ppm area from my experience. JR

dwc had mine at 1800 and started seeing a little burning around the lower growth on some of the plants, otherwise around 1150 is usually where I set it so they drink it up to around 1300 then I add water.
