What size light for a 2 by 2 by 4 grow tent

Need to know what size like put in a 2 by 2 by 4 grow tent for clones and vegetation then transfer to grow tent 2 foot by 4 foot by 5 foot with a 900 watt light should I swap the 900w to the 2 foot by 2 foot by 4 foot tent and get a thousand watt for the bigger for the bigger tent

What kind of light is the 900 Watt light?
If it is truly a 900W light, that should be well sufficient for a 2x4x5 flower tent
If it is a blurple light that realistically puts out 190W of light, then I would suggest putting that in the veg tent and getting a 600W HID if high temps wont be an issue. Lots of variables here.

If thats actual watts thats overkill.

I used to run 432 watts of t5 in a 2x4. Then went to little over 200 watts of cob led.

Go by the actual powwr draw. 400 watts actual draw of any type of light is almost overkill for a 2x4.

In a 2x2x4, a (4) bulb fluorescent T5 would do the trick for vegging, mommas and clones. Those come in 2' lights and are usually about 100W.

Gotta have more info than that. The numbers on most led lights from china are highly inflated and often run less than half of the advertised wattage.

Its hidden in the desrciption of the light on Amazon. I just looked at a 600 watt ohilzon and it was 100 actual watts. So most likely your 900 is actually 150 watt light.

I saw that after i asked. The 600w model I looked at stated 100 watt draw. Your 900 watt light is most likely 150 actual watts.

Look it up again it says 176 watt actual power plus or minus 3% I only got it because of the good reviews

I couldnt find the exact model. I was going by the 600 watt model.

Its still a cheap chinese light. Two of those would work in a 2x4. One would do ok in a 2x2.

If going led cob or QB are the best. Look for name brands like cree, citizen, Samsung etc.

If its a hid from vivosun then its probably ok. The vivosun leds look about the same as any no name led.
