Does anybody know what size of carbon filter i need for a tent of this size 4.5x4.5x4.5x4.5 because the strain i just started to work with is quite skunky.
I have a 6" by 24" Phresh filter, which I've been led to believe will do a more than adequate job.
Haven't flowered yet, so can't speak from experience, but everything I've read indicates that a 6" filter is plenty for a tent that size (mine is the same).
I say the bigger the better. The more surface area you give the air to move through and the less the fan strains to push through the carbon. Big filter with a sheet metal reducer and your golden. Plus the filter will last longer. Guess it depends on how much money ya wanna spend. I know room is a consideration.
I have a decent budget for the carbon filter and i was thinking of getting a can 33 but i also didn't know if it would work with my 420cfm blower is that two many cfm's for this unit?
I think it depends on how you are setup to use the filter, meaning either scrubbing or for exhaust. My buddy has a 424 cfm fan and is torn as well between the can 66 or the can 50. I said go with the can 66, as its got a bigger surface area for the stink to go through, plus I think it weighs less then the can 50, ya know, a little bit cheaper to ship...
