In order to win elections, do you think Democrats should be more moderate/centrist and move to the right on the political spectrum, or do you think they should be more liberal/progressive and move to the left?

Or, do you believe a different strategy will be more successful?

They [Democrats] should maintain their doctrine as it stands, because that is the one that truly tries to help the average American, not just a select few, so why change? Go further left? Yea, right. That should work out well. Go right? To what, Republican lite? Fuck that shit.
Sanders, although an Independent (Democrat?), has had great ideas that should be in action in this country, just like it is for the majority of civilized nations on this planet (affordable education and health care for it's citizens), but it seems that the majority of the American public are too fucking stupid to understand what is in their own best interests, not this conservative Republican bull shit of fuck you economics, if you can't afford it, just die.
Then we elect Trump
Personally, it seems like to me that Republicans are like fucking locusts
Every 4 years or so they come back like the plague that they are, and then the American people remember and say, what the fuck did I just do by electing those assholes, and the next election vote Democratic.
Now is the time of the locust showing up, that noisy, destructive insect that does nothing but destroy, and Trump is the Queen bug.
That is the history of American politics, it seems to me
Elect Republicans for a few years, let them fuck shit up and start over again with a Democrat, let them straighten the shit out, toss them out after it is fixed, for who knows whatever reason (any at all?) elect another Republican, watch it burn, say oops, sorry about that, I forgot what fuck ups Republicans are, and then start the cycle all over again.
Oh well, it's time to finish my trim, drink a whiskey, screw my dog, and feel remorse about the Democratic party as it stands in this country, today.
This OP has made me sad.

The Democratic Party already is Republican lite. That's why they keep losing to Republicans.

Mr Sanders has good ideas but they are demonstrably to the left of the current Democratic Party positions.

Time after time, average Americans who listen to his policy positions agree with him to a greater degree they do with those of either major party. That would explain why he's the most popular sitting politician in America, period.

Sooooooo I think it's well past time for the Democratic party to move left. Moving to the right certainly hasn't worked- unless you're counting the donor cash they rake in. Then their positions make perfect sense.

Living wage laws, taxing the rich, free higher education, universal healthcare are all sensible and wildly popular.

Why won't Democratic Party officials adopt them?

FOLLOW THE MONEY.

The midnight sun is out. I went fishing. Stuffed my freezer with King and Red salmon. Netted 5K this week. You wanna see a pay stub? Get a life.

you're so desperate to find even one time that i've lied that you'd post that stub in a second just to shut me up.

but you are on disability, so you can't.
