no way it is. do the inside of buds die? it is gonna stretch some for flowering. if it dies then at least it will have given something to the plant if you cut it off you get nothing. the leaf helps the bud/branch that is gonna form there. I'd rather have leaves and roots working for me than just roots. That plant is healthy maybe a bit heavy on the nitrogen but it's only gonna help in the long run, it's gonna flower like a mofo

i wouldnt trim it at all. in a month or two plants are going to transition from veggie to flower and its gonna double if not triple in height. if anything i would only cut the bottom two leaves and thats only if it needs it

Oh I think I know, is must be a clone taken from a flowering plant and revegged
You mentioned single leaves and that's what this method does.

Just read about this recently:

Looks like a great plant to me man. Don't think it could be any healthier. If it hasn't started flowering heavy yet you can try bending it over. It might help all those branches grow up and out of the heavy foliage plus give a little bit more light to the lower stuff. I wouldn't trim. Maybe just a little haircut if you really feel the need. Just my 2 cents.

I think that what it most likely is is that the clone was either flowered and revegged like said but possibly was an indoor plant recieving 18-24 hours of light and than when put outside even though it was spring and got say even 15 or more hours of light maybe the plant still started flowering, than the days got longer from there. I recently read quite a few threads on that lately and gave a clone to an outdoor grower which started flowering soon after, I assumed the days would be long enough to keep it in veg.(it was a cannalope haze but I think it actually might be cannalope haze x la confedintial...very similar to yours in all ways) Anyways it probably has a lot to do with the genetics of the plant and some are more prone to flower than others. I am currently experimenting with this because I have 3 clones right now that are doing this. They never recieved anything less than 18 hours of light yet they still look like this. I just flipped them to flower so I am interested to see how they do. They look totally different than they did at first so I think genetics alone might cause this IDK as of yet if the plants will be omproved or equal but one seems to have really stopped growing and it doesn't look promising. The other strains in my garden are all still totally normal. Here's some pics of mine.
