What's going on over here?

Hey guys,

Making a new thread for my northern lights auto from rqs.

Been going perfect up untill last week....

I'm unsure as to what is causing the following issue's.

I'd love to have people chime in and shed some light on my situation.

Seems like a nutrient/lighting issue while it also seems to be Nute burn it also looks as though it's lacking something as the plant is still drinking as it normally would.

My upper leaves are getting roasted because they are so close to the light.

The light is a SE 3000 from spiderfarmer and I have never had such issue before as I never had such a tall plant...

Unfortunately due to size constraints I have no other options besides keeping the light on a lower strength (80%) at the moment.

Might lower it further as it might still be rather strong.

Early topping and training pays off for flowering.

Yeah couldn't agree more.

I always grow autos myself so never really looked into doing so this is yet another auto and it surprised me with how tall it's gotten.

My next grow once this is all said and done will be my first run of photos ill be sure to experiment with them.

Thanks for the suggestion.

You won’t be sorry when you switch. I don’t like autos because they’re like a grenade with the pin gone. Nothing will stop them. But photos you can reveg if necessary.

Yeah most definitely, excited to experiment with new methods etc..

Looking forward to the switch :)

Been looking into so many things that can be done to photos opposed autos

Little update....

She isn't looking too happy

Better luck next time I suppose, never had an auto stretch so much before.

I'm also having some issues with my ppm... its stable at 1600... and barely goes down.

I've decided that there isn't much more that can be done to save her... just gonna let her finish up when she decides to do so and move on.

If you are saying that your runoff is testing at 1600 ppm then your media and or nutes are too hot and you are likely experiencing nutrient lockout. A flush with low ec water might sort out your problem depending on what you have in your media.

Yeah, I definitely agree and have thought about doing so, however unfortunately at the moment because of its size(over 5 feet tall...) i'm unable to move it in and out the tent without risking something catastrophic happening :(

I would also like to add that where I live we have VERY hard water as its filtered salt water that then gets amended to make tap water. At times the ppm can be over 600-800.

Gotta be extra careful when adding nutes in the future if I keep watering with my tap water.

Your tap water is a problem. An RO filter could sort that out.

You can flush in place with low ec water if your pot is on a pot riser and you use a shop vac to remove runoff.

Yeah, agreed once more on the water being a pretty big deal :(

I do not have a shop vac handy to do so, at most ill have to stay using a small syringe to extract the runoff XD requires a whole lot of patience..

Good to keep in mind for future grows however.
