I have this plant in my house that is about 5 ft. tall now. I have had it for about 2 months(yes, I have a velvet green thumb) and decided to try to grow one. Everything else I grow does fantastic so why not try. Its seems to be enjoying the natural light and tap water I give it but I am not sure what to expect next from it. I have looked at some of the pics to see if it is a male and female but it just keeps growing more leaves. Lots of little shoots all over the tree. A little advise would be great.

Thanks

Hi m8 have you had your plant in any sort of light cycle . you want to have them in a longer cycle for vegging your plant just like 24/24 or 18/6 which i prefair .
To make them flower you need to drop the light so they think the summers ending and produce buds if female or balls if male it

it will just continue to grow and grow with out sex unless u change the light cycle and if u only start it flowering now thats going to b about 8 foot by the time its finished

if you're using natural light then you are gunna have to wait until the days start to get shorter before your plants start to show sex

Not true. If it is 5 foot tall already then I bet it is already showing sex.

You can determine the sex of your plant if you have vegged it long enough, which I think might be the case with your plant.

Look for white hairs/pollen sacks coming out from the nodes.

how is it gonna automatically show sex home grown? you can veg plants for years and years without it showing sex, you have to induce flowering... also you shouldnt be giving it tap water...

Well please explain to me why my 2 month old plants that are still in vegetative growth are showing sex? Also, in my opinion it is a sign of maturity. If you veg long enough most strains will show sex!

And what the fuck is wrong with tap water if the Ph/ppm are fine?

Yeah, shook man, many plants will show preflower at 6-8 weeks.

You can use tap water. If you let it sit and let the chlorine evaporate.

thanks to all for the advise. I have it in a 7-8 hour daylight cycle and I let the water sit for 24 hours before I water the plant.
