Whats the best lights for cloning and veg stage?????

I am starting my cloning/vrg room tommorow and dont know what light to get? i want somthing powerfull tho so i get good vegetive results so my plants are big and healthy to put into my flowering room?? thanks eckto

clones - first two weeks under fluorescent. Go to home depot and get a shop light.

Veg - Metal Halide. 250 for 2 x 2 400 for 3 x 3 ft 600 for 4 x 4 and 1000 for larger grow spaces

Heres your options 1. a few 20-40w CFL bulbs in 6500k, 2. a few florescent tubes, 3. metal halide, 4. or a good LED light at least 150w.

A cheap rout use a 5 light bath fixture with Y splitters for a total of 10 CFL bulbs. 10 x 26watts = 260 watts. for clones I use a small florescent I got it from the hardware store for cheap.

LED = new age, low heat, expensive, efficient
Metal Halide = work well, get hot
Florescent = low heat, cheap, work okay
CFL = Cheap, common, work okay
