with your question (which has no answer) all you will get is opinions

is a chevy better than a cadilac? both are made by GM, both have the same engineers and technology, both have the same engine, one is cheaper? Does heated leather seats make the cadilac run better? Now the real question can an experienced race car driver get a car to perform better than a 16 year old with a drivers permit?

This is essentially what you are asking,,,,, What nute will make us seem less of a new grower? Nothing replaces experience and know how, it is not the nute used that matters it is the skill of the grower that makes the ultimate difference.

I use Jack's Professional it's a bit more than a dollar a pound and because I have been gardening for over 40 years I pretty much know how to use it. In my current grow I am doing a grow off with a new nute SmokeNGrow (you can get free samples at smokengrow.com) I'm actually impressed with it, it's easy to use and it ph's itself (no matter what I do) am I switching from Jack's,,,,,,,,,,,,No will I add SNG to my toolbox,,,,,,,,,,Yes

Does a carpenter have a favorite hammer,,,,,,,,,most likely. Can he build stuff with any hammer,,,,,,,,absolutely

No such thing as a BEST NUTE, Plants require 16 basic elements to grow properly and nute formulas ALL have this in mind. Are there BEST GROWERS (perhaps better growers is a more true statement) ,,,,,Yes, do they have favorite nutes,,,,,,,,,,yes can they grow with any nute,,,,,,,,,once again , absolutely

Simply pick a nute that fits into your budget and learn it :)

I threw my Fox Farm nutes in the trash after haveing lockout and bullshit problems with it.

I switched to Dynagro halfway through the grow, and the plants came back to health and kicked ass.

Dynagro has all the micros and macros and everything you need.

Dutchmaster Line has been good for me so far and this dutchmaster Silica (black bottle) is the shit, I have used it from seedling until now and im still in veg, I have Fox Farms Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom for flower, also BIO BIZZ nutes are pretty good its pretty hard to burn your plants with BIO BIZZ nutes cause they are truly organic but they can still burn them, I used Mg bone meal and BIO GROW, BIO Heaven, and BIO Bloom last grow they did fine, I yeilded 1oz of 2 6" tall plants with heavy LST under less than 200w of CFL in 88degree heat, but I had co2 and nutes, and experience from RIU to help me survive the worst growing conditions I have every had.:leaf:

i only have experience with fox farms. their grow big is pretty gangsta for veg, but its really easy to burn your plants though and with almost any plant i've grown with it I've have to supplement magnesium. I feel really comfortable with fox farm nutes but im dying to try something else. my local food co-op has earth juice grow and bloom for sale, im really thinking about it.

I'm voting for Organicare CNS 17 Grow, Bloom, and Ripe. At ~$10/bottle in store or after shipping it is extremely affordable. The NPK ratios are easy to manage, pH balancing is a snap, and the feeding schedule is pretty dead on for cannabis.

riddleme has it right though. There's a reason there isn't a best.

Hi ya Riddle :)

Good Point well made .

The question should read more like " What Nute Company has the best labels and marketing " It really comes down to that .

ALL the nutes you can buy will get results according to how YOU use them , Most people go by recommendation from someone they know or from forums , But what you are told is normaly based on what they was told by a friend or from a forum ..and so on .

Your budget and blind faith in a product is what will guide you to the product that suits you ...and then you will recommend that to others in the future .

"The decision to buy and use a product is often determined by the skill of the salesperson not the efficacy of the product." :)

That aside ...I Use CANNA ( based on what i was told and read and my budget ) It does what it said it will.... and my blind faith is rewarded with lots of nice bud that everyone seems to LOVE !

Hope that helps :)

I've grown for 22 years and in the last five I've used Botanicare products. Pro-Bloom & Pro-Grow, in Roots Organic potting soil. I recently started using ZHO, (fungus) also from Botanicare. I may be one of those dumb asses that hydro store sales persons love to see coming, but I really don't care. I'm very happy with the positive consistant results. I always use 1/2, or less, of the recommended dosage. It is worth noting that a couple of my Sativas need a little Mag-Cal, specifically, AK 47 and Sour Deisel, but other than that, I really like the product line and highly recommend it. Not just for a newbie, but for anybody that wants great results with little effort.
