No matter what I do short of leaving my closet door open during lights on I cant get my temp below 88 degrees Its a fold open type closet with a shitload of CFL's (14) My grow space is 2'Dx3'Wx7'H and Im running in the neighborhood of 30000 lumens 428w

I hear conflicting stories about temps some say you will be fine around 90 but not over, some say at 95 the plant shuts down. Some say over 85 the plant shuts down.

Mine are growing vigorously despite the high temps . Humidity is between 40 and 50

if they keep growing at that temp I would say let them be. I have had mine spike to 85 at times during the day but 90+ would seem just to much imo. I have a personal goal of 77.1 but alot of times I don't get it.

I live in texas, its 100+ for a month straight. Plants will survive but growth will be stunted and you will run in to other problems.

It can be done though, and you can still get good results, just have to really watch your plants.

Best of luck to ya mate <3

Seems like in tropical conditions, 90f would be common. Don't they grow kick ass marijuana in Mexico? I've been there its fucking HOT

Below 85 is best. Above that, Mary vents so much water to atomsphere, she does not use nutes properly. Her electrolites get out of balance, and growth is slowed. Kind of like Heat Stress for us Carbon Based Life Forms......not good.....

never heard of kick ass marijuana out of mexico, just shit mexi weed that is grown in fields and pollinated by males and you get shit mexi weed. Maybe some alcapolco gold?

You live in tx jack? how long did it take you get to your seeds whenever you order them?

success is relative, with temps in the 90's your buds will probably end up more fluffy and your yields will be hurt a bit, but the weed will still be good if the rest of your environment is up to par. Just make sure to supply lots of water and nutes and get some good fans in there. I had temp spikes reaching 100 in the last couple weeks of my last grow, with almost constant temps in the high 80's low 90's but the final product was still amazing, though the yield was affected a bit (not quite as dense as I had hoped). If you can get some extra co2 in there the temps will be less of a problem, though you still want to keep it down around 85 or a bit less if possible.

I'm looking at buying a set of cheap closet doors and slam an intake fan @ the bottom and an exhaust at the top. The room the closet is in stays at a perfect 80 degrees. I do have over 420 w of CFL's in there for only 4 plants, 2 growing from seed at 12/12 and 2 that are a couple months old that I just switched to 12/12, probably more than I need but too much of a good thing is a good thing. They seem to be growing vigorously even though temps above 85 for 1/2 the day. Been flowering 5 days and no sign of sex yet.

Average daily highs for the tropic region is 32C (90F), most of Mexico is not in a tropical region.

You would get a 50% increase in Lumens , save a little bit of energy and reduce temps with a remote ballast 400 Watt HPS light bro.

True but I have about $46 in Lights here as compared to $200+ for a ballast, bulb, and hood. This is a first time grow, I cant justify the cost yet. If I do Ok and decide to go on full scale I WILL buy a 400w HPS/MH combo, for now I'm trying my hand with the Cfls as I can spread them around the house when I switch.

Makes perfect sense to me, logical and of course those lights can be used around the house ( I know that's what I did with mine). Hopefully everything grows well!
