That is definitely a ph problem. i agree with grow plenty. you may want to check the ph of your runoff water again. are you using a ph meter? ph is so critical in growing. try using some dolomite lime in your mix. its almost impossible to use too much. about a 1/4 cup per five gallons of peat. if your ph is bad, your plant wont absorb the calcium even if it is present in the soil. I had the same problem.

thank you for your response...i checked the ph again yesterday and flushed again last night, i have dolimyte lime, i will treat a couple of the plants and check results! i have 10 out of 16 plants showing symptons, ive plucked leaves so much that some of these plants are gonna be guinni pig plants. just not enough foillage left to get a decent harvest. thanks again Moz..............

Plants Prefer Pure Water

^^^^^^^give this a read through and tell me what you think, read before you add more salt to the problem
thanks for the info., brother.......just for the record, ive only used rain water on all my grows, so i dont know where my salt build up is coming from? i mentioned that i gave them epson salts, but i just recently read that epsum salt is not really a salt (?) whats your take on that? i thank you again for your help!bongsmilie

nutes we feed with that the plants don't use accumulate and become toxic to the plant...why not give complete info in the original post , instead of the people having to guess what it is your doing and being corrected every time they offer advice ?

you said its going from "one plant to another" and if it is spreading from one plant to another then you might want to consider an infestation of some sort, like spider mites sucking out the cells and then leaving necrosis spots generally theyre alot smaller and more spread out but you might want to check for any bugs just for good measure. Look underneath a leaf and see if you see anything under a strong magnifying glass.

def. not mites...ive had them plenty! i think it may have been ph...i bought a new meter today and gave all plants a dose of dolimite lime. i checked one of the rain barrels i have been useing and some how i got a drop in my ph (???) anyways im going out of town tomorrow for three days and when i get back the problem will either be solved or ill have some dead plants to get rid of... thanks for your imput..peace

yeah i know mite spots are usually smaller and lighter in color to start out with, just throwin a bug problem out there...

Mold and or fungus gives you dark patchy spot areas on leaves and buds can be mold. If it is then of course lower
the humidity and increase the ventilation if it is the problem

Also consider a fungal issue like septoria leaf spot it is an airborne fungal spread by wind and rain and the disease travels up the stem of the new plant and affects the leaves as it reaches each new branch in turn. Eventually, the disease causes the leaves of the plant to prematurely fall off.

Also, these are the signs since you said it was spreading, It starts on the bottom leaves where the fungal spores are most likely to land, It spreads upwards from the lower older leaves to the newer younger leaves so the loss of leaves is from bottom of the plant upwards. Leaves wither and die, they turn slightly yellow, then brown and then wither.

again just throwin stuff out there of things it looks like dont really have alot of info to go on but tryin to help :) good luck w the grow

if thats not it then it may be a bacterial spot issue, and yeah i know that mites leave smaller spots otherwise theyd be some big ass monster mites btw lol ;) just throwing thing out there since dont have alot of info to go on here is a link to the pic of this bacterial spot issue http://vegetablemdonline.ppath.cornell.edu/diagnostickeys/TomLeaf/BacSpeck_Tom.htm
Yeah, i also know its of a tomato leaf but it looks very similar to the necrotic lesions you have on your plant so again just throwin stuff out there to help :)
