What's this on my plant? Where's the bud growing? (Pics)

I brought my plant in from outside and I'm somewhat in anticipation of having my plant flower. But I don't know where it's supposed to start. I don't even know the difference between the "flower" and the "bud," if there is any.

So, I've been looking really closely at my plant, to see anything out of the ordinary. So far, I found three things:

CURLED YELLOW STREAK GROWING ALONG A LEAF

GREEN STEM-LIKE GROWTH OUT OF THE TIP OF A LEAF

SINGLE FLUFFY WHITE HAIR (very blurry picture, it's one white hair with a series of small white fibers growing out of the white hair)

What are these things and are any of them the flower\bud? If not, where does it start?

I moved my plant to my attic, where there are skylights. I figure that it's just enough light for the plant to live and flower. To be on the safe side, though, I have a 40 watt bulb on the plant, on a 12-hour timer. If after a few days it doesn't look good, I'll increase the amount of light but keep the light on a timer.

none of those are buds..
the bud will start to grow along the stem at the joints of the leaves.. but i'm afraid you're gunna need more light than a 40 watt bulb and a hole in your attic for your plant to flower..

is that on the leaf?????????it looks like it in the pic thats why im askin
Buds dont grow on leaves!
Yes, they're all on leaves. My photos weren't that great, so I decided to draw a picture.

Here's a drawing of the first one:

Here's a drawing of the second one:

What are those things? As I said, I think the third one (didn't draw a picture) is just a trichome...

some kind of mutation
LOL, mutation?

Do you mean it's going to grow out of the pistils?

I already know my plant is a female because it's got a bunch of those at every joint of the leaves.

Really? It's not just a hole. I have two skylights and there are several windows in the room besides that. My mom used to grow normal plants (not cannabis) up there before when I was younger, so I figured that it should still grow. The first day I put it up there, the plant didn't seem to like it because it didn't grow at all, apparently even drooping a little bit. Yesterday I added the 40-watt lightbulb (and it's shaped like a spotlight, so the light directly hits the plant but it's about six inches away, so there's no heat) and today it perked up and grew an inch or two.

It doesn't sound like much, but it's working so far. If the plant stops growing or starts drooping, I can always add more light.

you should read the grow faq. it will explain much. im guessing that wee 40 watt light is cfl? i hope. id recomend putting it back outside as its much simpler.

I would think the white hair is animal fur.

and yes bud grows out of the joints where the pistils are at.
At first I thought it might be lint. I brushed my finger across it (I didn't want to do that, but after careful deliberation!!) and it's growing out of the leaf.

I've been doing this for a few months now and I've read a ton of stuff. At the bookstore, they have a bunch of books I looked through too.

My lightbulb is a plain incandescent bulb, but I keep the light far enough from the plant to avoid burning it. I suppose I could get another lightbulb or a different one, but I'll wait and see how the plant is doing first... So far, it's still growing and it hasn't even apparently flowered yet (and it needs less light when it flowers, right?).

I agree with you about putting it outside -- I'd like to do that, but I don't know where I can put it. It's too big.

an incandessant bulb wont do anything. especially if your trying to flower it. plants need alot more light when flowering. put it in a garden or something. just throw a couple of fake flowers on it. and put it out. i hope it works out man. good luck

I don't think fake flowers would hide it. It was growing about an inch higher every day. At that rate, in a couple months it would be way too huge.

Since it's still growing, I'm not worried.

Lose the incandescent. Get a CFL or two and grow some buds. As long as you're putting the time in, why not make it worth it in the end?

Imo, an HPS is the best thing for you to use to flower your plants if you want to keep it inside. if you cant afford to spend that much on an hid light, i have heard of people flowering their plants w/ fluorescent lights or compact fluorescents, but dont expect miracles... if you do settle for fluorescents, the more the better, and try to concentrate your light in the direction of the plant... but ditch the incandescent, too much of its energy is converted into heat. the cfls are much safer and energy efficient.

so youve been doing this for months and read tons. yet you dont know that incadescent lighting is the bane of cannabis growing?? my friend i say again READ THE GROWFAQ ok? take that incandescent light and throw it in the trash. get some cfls and get that plant on the road to recovery. and once the plant gets out of seedling stage it never needs "less light". the more the merrier. please read the growfaq.. please quit torturing your plant with incandescent lights, and when you get your cfls keep em close. get a ph kit and make sure your water is no more than 6.6 as well and no less than like 5.8 in soil.

I have seen similar 'hairs' growing out of tree leaves when I am out hiking. I know what the leaves SHOULD look like, and little white hairs growing up through them 'just aint right'.

I can't say *exactly* what they are but I can only assume its some sort of parasite or sucker or other organism that propagates this way.

Personally, I would remove those leaves or if they are EVERYWHERE.... well then I guess I would try to apply some dilute apple cider vinegar to the effected.

Since you are in flower, I would do this by hand instead of spray. Dip your thumb and index finger solution and apply to top and bottom of leaves.
