for light i have 6 23w earth mate cfls one of the things i was wondering was if any one has ever use thes lights befor thes bulbs scare me becuase on the side it says use in dry area and not for small fixtures does that mean with the hummity be around 60 it will be to moist here is a link the the specs http://www.amazon.com/Earthmate-EP2352AK-23-Watt-Super-Mini-Spiral/dp/B001WAL1NW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1298788833&sr=8-2

hey there dan the man from MI (MI here too) welcome. okay let me preface by saying i dont use cfl's for grows (except a T5 56 watt tube for seedlings) but I can give u some info. ok, too hot to hold, thats one thing but for the plants it'll be fine. u should keep the lights CLOSE to the plants/pots, less then 2 inches all the time.

All lights (even the MH/HPS say that crap) so what u need to know is this. First, preferably use US made cfls (I have heard of probs recently with exploding crap from china) & sry didnt see if those lights u linked to were US made. But I can tell u, for starters, meaning from seed until the veg stage, sry u need to get different CFL's. The ones u got r GREAT for flowering as they have a 2700K color temperature rating, (I did remember that from the link!) Right now u should be using them in a range of 6500k or as close as u can get to it. So please do urself a favor & get those cfls, then change them to the ones u already have when u switch to 12/12.

Common sense, like any lightbulb, dont be keeping shit around it that "could" cause a potential problem or fire hazard...you know like paper real close, shit like that. And dont use foil in ur grow box (but u said u did ur research) so I hope u picked up on that. Again as far as ur bulb, moisture is not going to be a problem. Again, just common sense, do NOT try to mist or water with the lights on, simple enough.

Be seeing u round the boards hopefully, good luck on growin one super sexy stealthy bitch!

i was going to grow clones for the first time so would it be alright to use the 2700k light for a week or two then switch them to 12/12 i went to the website for their earth mate light bulbs and they are made in china but the have a good rep since 2009 wining awards and being in magazines and they 75% less mercury only 1milligram

is Scots rose bloom any good
because i have 2 small plants that i started 33 days ago and i was having some deficiency and a buddy gave me some scots rose bloom and i made a tea out of it and about 4 or 5 hr later i looked at them again and a bunch resin glands just pop on their they weren't their before

the plants were started on 12/12 from a seed in little red solo cups and the only nutrients i use was worm castings till i gave them the rose bloom
