Ok i'd say i'm pretty experienced grower and dont run into many problems. I am getting ready to move to a remote country location with a well as my water source, i was told that there is sulfer in the water. I already use use nutrients from GE that are for hard water. Will this sulfer affect anything if any. or should i use some sort of filter on my tap ? I just don't want to have to buy big water jugs and lug that shit around. I just want to go to my tap and use that. i mean if it will save me a hassel in the end i will do it but i would rather use my well water.

When we lived in the country and had a well, we would fill jugs with tap water and leave them out for a few hours or overnight (OPEN, very important). Then you would see all this crap at the bottom of the water. If you pour it out and don't get to the bottom sediment stuff, it's fine, at least taste wise, so I would do the same thing with your girls.

Hey there. Did they say it was sulfate or Hydrogen Sulfide? Depending on concentration, you may be able to shock the well using a chlorination shock method. An RO system will also remove the sulfur. There are also manganese greensand filters and Catalytic Carbon filters that remove sulfur. Finally, there are a few whole house filters that remove sulfur like the hague watermax system. Runs around 2k though, some of the other options are allot cheaper.
