Bad info Killa, added a month to a grow I ran last year.My Indicas have a 6 -8 flower period and it took every bit of 11 weeks rather than the usual 8.

Guys I am in the 7 week of flowering I've read that lowering the amount of light giving to plant will force it to finish flowering faster? I also decided to take a Lil tester branch
sounds like a bad ideal.at 12/12 the plants know its time to flower. a shorter day would give them less energy to use growing and may actually increase flowering time. seems like giving them a brighter light may lower flowering time. but each strain is different so you will just have to try it with the strain your growing

if you have room or an empty closet you can always set up a small grow room for test grows. I enjoy experimenting with small test grows using clones and it is a good way to learn and improve my skills
I'm actually buying a new tent soon so I will have three separate grow areas and I do plan on experimenting I have 9 new babies about 1 month time diff on them 2 r seeds n napkins 3 are in solo cups about 2 in tall and 4 about 4 weeks old

You dont just switch the light schedule. You are also adding far red led or 730nm just for 10 min at the end of the day. Read more about the emerson effect or 730 nm far red led.

I'm using red spectrum lights I have read about that what I was saying is giving it 10 hours of light each day instead of 12

Its not in place of hps its in addition to hps led or cmh There was a thread in the led section far red thread i cant find it this min. Continue to read about the emerson effect and far red 730 nm you are manipulating the phytochrome response in the plant changing pr and pfr so they can go to sleep faster. so you can run 14 on and 10 off I have not played with it yet but I will be in the next 2 or 3 months after I get a few other upgrades done first.

Flowering at 11/13 will help bring out more of the subtle pheno expressions in your plant. It will not speed up the ripening process. I start at 12/12 and then take off 15 minutes every week. Once I get to 11/13 I leave it there tho. Anymore light off time than that tho and you are just denying yourself the opportunity to give your plant more light and growth.

Why not answer the question instead of being a prick and starting shit.
some people are just dicks . nothing wrong with learning . a lot of people use 10/14 i switched to 10/14 and i dont see any reason to switch back to 12/12 faster harvest did not notice any quality or yield issues . to correct my self i had 1 plant 12/12 was not getting any bigger switched it to 10/14 3 or 4 days later it got a bit fatter . do your first grow 12/12 then try one 10/14 . and it saves on some electricity depend on how many lights you burn .
