so i've got these two clones that i've had vegging under some small fluorescent lighting. I invested in a 400w HPS the other day along with some mylar to make a nice enclosed grow space.
Unfortunately after setting up the system on Friday I had to leave town for the weekend on Sat. My roommates were taking care of the plants when this problem arose.. as you can see from the pictures the plants have suffered a fair amount of damage- and I don't know what the problem could be.
I guess when the light was first turned on they left it on for about 18 hours before going to the 12/12 cycle. Also, the light was definitely close at first, but it does well not to produce much heat.
I also just got a basic water/ph/light scale. I've put it into both pots and both say that the pH is up around 7.5 or so.
Do you think this is damage due to heat/the light? maybe the soil pH being high? is my soil locked up?? any help would be much appreciated cuz I want my babies to thrive! Thanks!
