Whats Wrong!!!

ok i'm just growing 2 plants and i have one T8 fluorescent light (with reflector) over both of them just for veg. and my sprouts are growing so fine they are over 3in tall (both plants are) in just 4 days they look healthy and everything i water them every 2 days or whenever soil gets a little dry can yall tell me if there's any thing wrong that i am doing? :joint:

Everything looks gr8, as long as there is no stretching. I think i would water a bit less, like every 3-4 days, give the soil a chance to dry but not completely, this stimulates root growth, cause they go searching for water. When will you transplant into pots? But looking good so far, long way to go ...

i have another question if i'm in the flowering period would 2 150watt cfls (2700 lumens) and 2 warm whites be good?

For how many plants?

Also make sure there is some drainage in the cups, you can transplant in a little while, wait till it gets some more leaves and establishes itself a little better.
 
Stretching is when you plant is too far from the light and the stem gets waaaay to long and starts to tip over. If you are using CFL's the need to be like 2-5 inches from your plant. 2 150 cfl are gr8 for 2 plants imo. But i though warm were for flower and softs/cool whites were for vegging. Buy or make a reflector too if you can, and some mylar would help your space to help that light get were it needs to be. You can also use white paint but mylar is more reflective. Do you have a ph monitor?
 
yeah, the warm whites are for flowering, bright whites for veg. Plug one of each in together, you can def. see a difference, warms will look more redish, while the brights look more blueish. im using cfl's, working fine. i guess the rule of thumb for lighting is around 7000-10000 lumens per square foot. if you go up top to "search" then type in "minimum light" and i think its like the third thread down, but its def. in there, its a great lighting thread.

I'm growing 2 plants would the 2 cfl's and the 2 warm whites be goodfor that?

No i don't have a pH tester but since these 5 days i been growing my plants and watering them they look healthy.
 
i don't really pay attention to how much water i give them but i water then wait until it drains through the hole then that way i know it made it to the bottom of the pot then i stop and wits to the soil loses it's moisture.
 
You really need to start ph'ing your water, if its not effecting them now, it will soon ... trust me, i was useing tap water and almost lost my soil grow because of it. Get you some RO water the ph is EXCELLENT or get some cheap strips. The ph REALLY need to be monitored!!!
