i have some pollen from a northern that is about 6 months old it was frozen then thawed once and i tried to pollinate a white widow. i refroze it because the white widow had to be chopped down cuz i had to move. does anybody think this pollen is still good? and how many weeks into flower should i wait before i pollinate? i really want to use this pollen the male it came from i wish had buds, it would have been beautiful..

ok check this out once your plant is hit by pollen it goes to making the seed ,you dont want your bud to stop its bud process because of pollen so you want to do this just long enough for your seed to develope about 3 weeks before plants are done, best to put pollen on one or 2 buds not the whole plant and do the bottoms or mid,tag it so you know where your seed will be,

i dont think it would be too hard to determine which buds have the seeds ;-)

theres a whole thread about making seeds stickied in this section idk how you missed it

If you thawed then re-froze the pollen, I doubt it's still viable. I could be wrong. I would think that the condensation from being thawed would kill it. No harm in trying tho.........

I have never frozen pollen so can't answer that one, have heard pros and cons of it but most of the pros of it I wouldn't trust. I do keep pollen in the fridge in a nice little container with a few grains of rice and know that it will keep for a year. I just brought some from last year and it pollinated the female just fine.
As far as the one response wait until the last 3 weeks, bro if you do that you are going to end up with some nice little white immature seeds. 4 weeks would be a min. from anything I have made seeds with but always try and allow 6 weeks to ensure the best chance of good seeds.
Hope this helps good luck.
