when do i start using my MH lights??

my plants are about 3weeks old... and i'm thinking of starting to use my MH 250watt cool light now. Do you think it's too early? should a wait till the plants are 6weeks old..(i heard this once)?

Start em now. Just start with the lights high and slowly lowly so the little guys don't get shocked or burned.

then they are old enough to take it, but approach slow as mogie told you to!
the question for the timing to start MH is how far developed the plants really are, as soon as they have several sets of leaves, serrated on the rdge, they are set to go. and that is normally the case after about 3 to 4 weeks.
