When is the best time to go from Vegetative to flowering.(Rough Story )

Alright so i have a Sour Diesel plant i grew from the seed. Now at the time i didn't think it would grow so big keep in mind this is my first grow. After the first to weeks it was looking nice. Then the next day i see it on the flower with every root torn off. Guess someone just pulled the plant from the pot. I left it on the floor and left i was piss. The Next day i relax and i repot it for the fuck it , sorry for the language . Now out of no were it starts growing and now it's 2 feet tall and bushy and i topped it also 2 times. It look great every leave is so green But now i forgot when i planted it . I honestly don't even remember the day or month sad huh i know >.<. When would be the best time to flowering how big should it at least be.

You can make it flower whenever you want. Most strains will get 2-3 times bigger, just keep that in mind.

i usually like to wait till i see one of two things, if not both.. the first is alternating nodes off of the main steam..
new plants will grow like a christmas tree, with one branch coming off of both sides of the main stem evenly..
as they grow older and closer to sexual maturity, they won't come out evenly, but rather will have an inch or so between each new branch growing..
the second is preflowers.. kinda hard to see if you're not used to looking for them, but if you google image search it, you'll get an idea of what to look for..
both of these things mean that the plant is reaching sexual maturity and can be flowered at any time.. you can always flower at any time before that as well, but i like to wait until the plant is showing signs of sexual maturity first.. :d

The best time to go from veg to flower is after you see pre-flowers.
