when should i cut back the light?

I need advice its my first time growing successfully ( so far) and my plant is looking good the new leaves coming in have 9 leaves on them and its been growing since April is it time to force it to flower?

it depends on your height space if you are inside. plants can grow 2x's their height and more in flowering.
