i was jst wondering if anyone could tell me when i should start flushing my plant, i know it is a week b4 you chop it but when do u know it has a week left?
if anyone could give me some ideas, what am i to look for?

thanks muzzers

once ur trichomes start turning amber and ur buds are ripe..u can squeeze ur buds to see if there solid..but go by ur trichs..once there 30-50% amber start ur flush..and u can flush up to 3weeks..thats only if u feed her good tho

.

I never flush. Some of the biggest swell in the buds is in the last week(s), I don't want to starve the plant during the time of greatest potential growth.

A proper 4 or 6 week cure will make the vapor/smoke smooth and tasty.

flush is nessicary if u r using the mutes that r out today, best thing to do to keep it swelling, is to supplement with sumthin, like black-strap mollasis or i use humboldt nutes Honey ES. keeps em pumpin b4 chopping time.

yup i flush with molasses or carbo load but my very last flush i use just water..the key when u flush is to get ur PPM's down to 0-200..u dont wanna flush ALL the sugars out at the end tho

Yep, I'm another that recommends continuing a mild nute schedule after flushing. Personally, I like to flush around the 5th week because that gives them a fresh start, and they usually go through a growth spurt afterwards, due to the nice clean soil. Then I continue feeding til the end, slowly tapering the nutes til the last watering, in which I give them straight water and let them dry out for 3-5 days, then harvest. Everybody has ways that work well, that's just the way i do it.

It's also a good idea to flush after 5 weeks(approximately) of veg, removing salt/waste buildups.(keeps the PH up too) They really like a nice clean soil, and will thank you for it.

By "flush" do you folks mean watering without fertilizers or pouring clear water - 3-5 times the volume of the bucket - to completely flush the nutrients from the root ball?

Yep, although 3-5 times is a bit excessive. I flush with 1 1/2 - 2 times the volume, and that is plenty, plus saves alot of unnecessary work. The only reason I'm sure that it's enough, is that i check the runoff with a PPM meter and stop flushing when the PPM is below 100, the PH is the same as the water I'm pouring in,(within .2) and the runoff is almost clear(with a very mild yellow tint). Never had an arguement from the plants, so I'm convinced that it's plenty flushing to do the trick.lol(keep in mind that I'm very precise when i flush, making sure all the water doesn't run down the sides of the pot, rather than soaking through evenly)

Good thinking!
