When should I harvest

So I am helping a buddy finish off his 2 plants and he brought me in after they started flowering. Live in the south US central time zone. from the way he describes they starting showing buds around 9/12-9/25 when should I look to harvest?

The pistils change from white, to orange, brown color, and you should also Inspect the trichome with a scope,I find its honestly the only way to dictate what type of high/stone you get.
