When should I know the sex?

Been growing this Mid-Grade seed for about roughly 4-5 weeks. Plant is getting 18 light 6 off. We are using 4 Cool White Flourecent bulbs. Initially we went to Home Depot and bought 2 High Sodium 600 watt bulbs; will those be ok for flowering? Or can you just continue using the Flourecents but just change to 12/12? Any feed back would be great guys. . .thanks.

Plants will show sex around 6 to 8 weeks from seed. Check on the bulb and maybe online to find the spectrum of the sodium bulbs you got. 2500-6700 is usual. I get this backward all the time so check on this but the low end is the blue light 2700 for veg and the higher spectrum 6700ish is for flower. Best to change bulbs when you change time and they sell plenty of options in flouro bulbs...

You will notice sex approx a week after you switch to 12/12 unless it's from auto-flowering seeds or they are stressed into flowering. As for the fluorescent lights, they are kinda weak so they wont produce big buds like a h.i.d light, but will work i guess yeah.

Thanks guys, I'll find out what spectrum the bulb is and get back to you. Will update with pics either 2night or tomorrow.

It can take 1-3 weeks to show sex. Normally they show by two weeks but I have some going right now that are 2 weeks in today and are not showing sex yet so varies.

If you veg it long enough it should show preflowers.

you can tell when your plant is getting mature, becuase the braches stop growning across from each other and become staggered.

My "mids" bagseed plant started showing her preflowers when the mainstem started getting super thick(1/2 inch thickness). I think around 7th node?

what is pre flowering i think mine has pree flowers if it pree flowers does that mean its female all of mine loook like floweres were blooming befor i started flowering and iv only been for 4 days
