When should nutes be given to a seedling in Coco?

Hey all,

When should nutes be given to a seedling in Coco, since Coco Coir doesn't have any nutrients in it? Sprouts are only 4 days old, and I've just been given them 1/4 to 1/3 oz of water every other day. Yesterday I noticed the party cups felt really light so I dumped in maybe 6oz of PH'd water til it came out the bottom with no droop of the leaves or any negative signs.

Nutes are GH Flora series.

Water is 28ppm well water that ph's around 6.0 to slightly higher (very slightly, don't have a digital meter), so not sure if Cal/Mag is needed.

I was thinking about waiting until they were like a week from breaking dirt and doing like a 1/4 dose nutes in a gallon of water and doing another 8oz feeding.

Note that the humidity in my house is only around 25% with the space heater on so that's why I'm giving small sips of water until the normal 4 day 8oz feeding. This is my first grow, so I'm trying to figure out what works and what wont.

Thanks guys.

Check this the hell out:

$1,135 for 3 bottles of nutes? WHAT THE FUCK?

I don't give them any nutes until the first set of true leaves have opened up - that is the third set of leaves. I then start feeding them 1/4 strength for a week, then slowly build up to full strength by about week 3 - 4 depending on how hungry they are.

1) In coco, start feeding immediately when the seed pops up.

2) You will never need cal-mag with GH flora 3 part. The "micro" bottle contains enough Ca and you can use MgSO4 to correct any Mg deficiency. If you find yourself needing more calcium, you're not using enough of the "micro" bottle.

3) Don't bother setting the pH of the tap water. Just pH the final nutrient solution.

I always start seeds with a very, very mild nutrients solution (200 ppmish) if not in soil. I grow ALMoST exclusively in a coco mix these days. I get better results starting seeds in rapidrooters, putting in cups w/promix once germinated. Then into coco.

Churchhaze is right, feed from the start. Hydro nutes are made for this and if you follow the directions on label they wont burn.
