when to put under lights

i planted 3 germinated seeds on sunday at my friends house, he phoned me yesterday (tuesday) saying they have sprouted about 1cm out of the soil :)
i am just wondering when do i put them under my 250w 6500k cfl (envirolite)
i was thinking maybe tommorrow or friday, do you think this will kill the plants if they are still only small ??

sorry dont have no pics because they are at a friends house

as soon as they sprout give them light straight away to avoid stretch.

i planted mine sunday and nothing yet i germed the seeds and everything my first grow so im freakin out :(

lowlife seed automatic white russians .. i used the paper towel method however as soon as the root appeared i planted them cus last time i waited to long the root got long and dried out.. i was very careful with the seed i even went as far as using latex gloves to handle them lol ill wait a few more days and see what happens oh and i made a lil hole with my finger id say half inch or less with the glove of course lol...

giv it time m8 they mite pop there heads out soon, i didnt plant mine very deep, just deep enough so that the seed was just under the soil, wot strain are you using?

this is my 1st grow aswell im using auto ak47

your method seems fine as long as you were clincal in not touching the taproot.
1/2" is really to deep so it will take longer.
i dont pre germ my seeds in towels or water and they always sprout in 72-85 hrs from planting directly into the soil.
and i plant my seeds 1/4"deep.
next time you should start your seeds this way.

it is by far the simplest/easiest/safe and cleanest way to germ seeds.
paper towels and soaking seeds is just ridiculous and a complete waste of time.
give them time and all should be good as it will take longer if you have planted them 1/2" deep.
